As we sat and talked we were reminded of how many times God has stepped into our lives and provided a miracle. This blog will be the opportunity for us to write these down for the next generation, and hopefully inspire you in your walk with God. Come by every Tuesday for a new post.

Not Accidentally #2 - A vision at 2:55 in the morning

2nd Corinthians 1: 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

It's been many years ago that I had this vision. My husband was the director of a paramedic unit. He had many employees and this story is about one of them.

It was 2:55 in the wee hours of the morning. I woke up abruptly to a dark, eerie presence. I jumped out of bed and immediately went to my knees to pray. I prayed for about 20 minutes. I looked at the clock and it was 3:20. The room was as bright as the sun and a peaceful beautiful feeling came over me. I layed back down knowing I had obeyed God.

I had no idea who or what I had prayed for. After my husband got to work I called him and asked him if anything had happened over the night. He said as a matter of fact, one of his employees had committed suicide.

I asked him if he had any details and he had none at the moment. He called back later and said that after the autopsy had been performed they had come to a few conclusions. He used a gun and the bullet entered his body at 2:55 but he did not die until 3:20. This sent me reeling---OH MY GOD -GOD had used me to intercede for him. The times we're exact. We came to the conclusion immediatley that he had plenty of time to TALK TO GOD.

There were only a handful of people who worked for by husband who even went to church. God gave this vision to someone who would be able to relay this to his parents. At the funeral my husband told his parents about my vision and it greatly comforted them.

God can use his children if we have the willingness to obey without questioning why. There is no way in my mind that this could have been a coinsidence. God does NOTHING by accident.

I have thanked Jesus for this vision so many times and I pray this will confirm to you that God can make a way in any situation.

  2. Amazing. I once woke up in the middle of the night and had a strong urge to pray for a high school classmate that I had not seen in years. I didn't even know how to pray, but I did. That was over ten years ago, I still don't know why/what. Some day I may learn.

  4. What an encouraging story. The prayer of a righteous man (or woman) avails much. How amazing it is that God chooses to work through our prayers.
