As we sat and talked we were reminded of how many times God has stepped into our lives and provided a miracle. This blog will be the opportunity for us to write these down for the next generation, and hopefully inspire you in your walk with God. Come by every Tuesday for a new post.

All your needs

Phillipians 4:19    And my God will meet all of your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Several years ago my son and his wife had been doing some repair work on some plumbing that was on the outside of their home.  As all projects go, we know that additional problems seem to crop up and the work seems to become more complicated and costly.

They realized that the water problem was more extensive and had to call in a plumbing company.  The water main from their home to the street needed to be totally replaced. The city said it originated on their property so it was their responsibility.  The cost was $3,500.00. They were new homeowners and did not have enough to cover the cost.

They had become friends with a couple a few houses away, our Son had ministered with the husband who had just recently passed away.  The day after the estimate came, the  neighbors wife knocked on their door.

"Hi, she says,  God has been speaking to me the last few days and He told me to bring you this CHECK". She said I have no idea why but here it is.  $3,500.00.

I love the way God brings those people into our lives who act as His messengers. NOT AN ACCIDENT.

Praying this little story lifts your day.

  3. What a great story.. reminds of ones I've read in Joan Wester Anderson's books. Isn't God awesome? He always promises to provide our needs.. just think what would happen if everyone were as open to his prompting as that lady!

Thanks for sharing and God bless!

  4. What a great website idea! You should add this blog to your blogger profile somehow so that people can find it when they are checkin' you out! ;)

I LOVE this story. We have had similar things happen to us both in giving and receiving exactly what was needed at times. So cool how God is IN everything when we let Him. :)

Thank you for your kind words at abundant life.
    Many Blessings this Easter.

  7. Beautiful story. God always works in ways we wouldn't have pictured. I love that. They are always better than we imagine--the same as His plan to save His people from their sins!
