As we sat and talked we were reminded of how many times God has stepped into our lives and provided a miracle. This blog will be the opportunity for us to write these down for the next generation, and hopefully inspire you in your walk with God. Come by every Tuesday for a new post.

Not Accidentally #3-Rain Rain

She was about 4 and so excited.

We were going to a strawberry patch to pick strawberries.

The farms were about an hour away from Tampa where we lived.
This was before the days of google weather maps so you just had to hope the weather would cooperate.
As we drove the skies began to darken, not a good sign for getting in the fields.
Then it started raining. Pouring cats and dogs!
As we tried to explain to our daughter we might not be able to get in the fields to pick, they would probably be too muddy. But oh the faith of a child.  She said "well, let's just pray."

She said her sweet, faith filled prayer.  I don't remember the words but something like this...

"Dear God,
We really want to pick strawberries.
Please help the rain go away.
Thank you, Amen"

So be it Dear Lord....
But...
Oh it just continued to rain and rain...

We found the sign and turned down the road to the fields, and the strangest thing we saw blue skies ahead.

We walked up to the barn to see if the fields were too wet to pick and were handed the baskets.  The farmer said nope, go right ahead, it hasn't rained here.

But as we picked we could SEE the rain, all around the fields, ALL four sides.

Coincidence? No this was not Accidental
It was a miracle for a four year old who had faith that her God cared even about strawberries.

May you be inspired to believe like a child.
Blessings, Debbie

  2. Such a wonderful answer to prayer. If only we grownups could believe this strongly. I know you all enjoyed seeing this miracle open in front of you.
